The State EMS agency distributes EMSIS Provider software to EMS Providers. The software provides a mechanism through which an EMS Provider can maintain its incident data and electronically transmit this data to the State agency. Some of the benefits to the EMS Provider are listed below.

• A database of incident information local to the providers
• Ability to generate bundled statistical and QA/QI reports from their own data
• Ability to use prepared or create custom reports for statistical and QA/QI purposes
• Data integrity checks preformed during data entry which reduce, if not eliminate, the need for correcting and retransmitting data
• Generates a printable incident form which can be customized for each provider using Crystal Reports®
• Electronically transmit incident data to the State and retrieve results in the same session
